Horrabridge is a village straddling the A386  road between Tavistock and Plymouth and with the River Walkham flowing through,within the Dartmoor National Park and the Borough of West Devon. In 2006 the population was given as 2115 with 800 dwellings.

The village has a bakery, 2  well respected public houses, a popular fish & chip shop, a hairdressers,  a computer shop, an artist studio and a village shop for all your essential needs.

The Primary & Nursery School, of approx. 200 pupils, has one of the best reputations in the area. 

The Horrabridge Rangers Sports Association field football teams at Junior, Senior Men and Senior Womens and the Junior Section, fields the most number of teams in the district.  Other organisations include a Scout Group,  a Youth Club, and a mens charity,The Horrabridge Cavaliers.

Tilly-Sur-Seulles in Normandy is twinned with the village and the Twining Association visit France every other year with a reciprocal visit by our French friends the following one.
